“Where’s the beef?!”

That saying may not be as popular as it once was, but it was likely uttered Tuesday morning in Southwest Philadelphia after someone stole boxes of beef from the back of a refrigerated truck, according to police.

According to police, officers responded to the 2800 block of South 63rd Street around 5:30 a.m. and found a refrigerated semi-trailer from which approximately 400 crates of beef had been stolen.

According to official figures, the beef was worth over $15,000.
