Concord couple arrested after investigation into child sexual abuse images

Dylan Simms is charged with three counts of alcohol distribution, while his wife Meredith Simms was arrested on charges of tampering following an investigation in Bow Street.

CONCORD, NH – A Concord couple was arrested last week following an investigation into child sexual abuse images in the South End.

On July 10, Concord Police and the NH Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force raided a home on Bow Street across from Rollins Park as part of a multi-month investigation that also involved the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Division for Children, Youth and Families. Following the raid, Dylan Simms, 27, of Centre Street in Concord was arrested on three counts of distribution of child sexual abuse images. Also arrested was Meredith Simms, 36, of Bow Street in Concord on charges of witness and informant tampering and hindering apprehension or prosecution.

According to court documents, the videos show a woman sexually abusing a boy and a girl, as well as a girl doing gymnastics naked and in an offensive manner. After the arrests, the case files were sealed due to the disturbing content. According to police, the case began in February after a tip from the internet.

Dylan Simms was held in preventive custody and arraigned Monday in Concord District Court; Meredith Simms was released on bond.

Dylan Simms’ criminal past stretches back about a decade, to when he was a homeless teenager in the area, according to posts on Patch and court documents.

These charges include criminal damage and possession of controlled drugs: obtaining and purchasing counterfeit drugs, possession of amphetamine, receiving stolen goods, forgery without oath, making false statements to authorities, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, possession of controlled drugs, unlawful possession of alcohol and warrants.

According to Meredith Simms’ LinkedIn profile, she is or was employed as a visitor assistant at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, a popular local attraction for children. Jeanne Gerulskis, the center’s executive director, did not respond to an email requesting information on Meredith Simms’ employment status at the time of publication. According to Meredith Simms’ Facebook page, the couple married in 2019. She was previously arrested for larceny in November 2019 and for larceny in October 2011 in Concord.
