Acting Metropolitan Police officer charged with sexual harassment of two children and rape of an adult

A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with the sexual abuse of two children and the rape of an adult.

Jamie Howlett is due to appear in court on six counts of sexual abuse by touching, which Surrey Police say involved two alleged victims.

The 33-year-old from Horley, Surrey, is also accused of five counts of rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.

The charges of rape, abuse and assault all relate to another adult, police said. Howlett, a serving Metropolitan Police officer, is due to appear at Staines Magistrates’ Court on August 9.
