Dubois County Fair rides removed after incident on Monday

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An incident that occurred Monday night at the Dubois County Fair has resulted in some major changes for the duration of the event.

A statement from the Dubois County 4-H Council posted on social media said: “As the Dubois County 4-H Council, we were made aware of a situation that occurred at the fairgrounds on Monday evening. After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to remove the rides from the fairgrounds for the remainder of the week.”

The statement continues: “As a local council, we are doing our best to ensure the safety of the public and to make the fair as pleasant as possible for everyone involved.” Other fair attractions such as the animal shows and exhibition setup will continue as planned.
