Two teens die, six others injured in rollover crash on I-94 near Jamestown, ND | The Mighty 790 KFGO

STUTSMAN COUNTY, ND (KFGO) – Two children died and six others were injured in a rollover crash on I-94 seven miles west of Jamestown just before 5 p.m. Monday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

An SUV was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control after being passed by a semi-truck, left the highway, rolled over and landed on its side in a swamp.

Rescue workers found the bodies of two boys, a 7-year-old and a 10-year-old, in deep water. All others were taken by ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

A 9-year-old child was flown to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver, a 30-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to Sanford in Fargo with serious injuries. The other four children, aged between 5 and 11, had minor injuries.

All those involved in the accident are from Cleveland, North Dakota.

The crash remains under investigation.

The name of the driver will be announced later on July 16 (Tuesday). The names of the teenagers will not be released.
