4 people arrested after break-in in Groton: Police

The condition of the person injured in the attack is unknown.

GROTON, Connecticut — Four people were arrested Monday in connection with the investigation of a home invasion in Groton, according to the city’s police department.

Police said Groton Township Police received multiple 911 calls at 3:23 a.m. Sunday reporting that a person had allegedly been beaten with a baseball bat and that a weapon was displayed near the Branford Manor apartment complex.

When officers responded, officers said they stopped a vehicle involved that was just leaving the scene of the accident.

The four people in the vehicle, identified as Bryon McClellan, 35, of New London, Shanice McClellan, 32, of Baltic, Shilo Noon, 40, of New London and Keyonia Bell, 24, of Groton, were involved in the physical attack, according to police.

Groton City Police, with assistance from Groton Town Police, found a victim injured in the attack who was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, police said. His condition was not released.

Members of the Groton City Criminal Investigation Department collected evidence and examined the crime scene.

Bryon McClellan is charged with burglary, second-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree criminal damage to property, second-degree breach of peace and sixth-degree theft. He was held on $250,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Monday.

Shanice McClellan is charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She was released on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on July 29.

Noon is charged with second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She was released on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on July 29.

Bell is charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree breach of peace and was released on $10,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on July 29.

Police are asking anyone with information or video footage to contact the City of Groton Criminal Investigation Division at 860-446-4186. Calls can remain anonymous, police said.
