Long Eaton: Increased patrols after sexual abuse of a woman in the town

Police have appealed for information following the sexual assault of a woman in Derbyshire.

The victim was attacked by a man while walking along Darwin Road in Long Eaton at around 00:45 BST on Sunday.

According to police, the man was disturbed by a local resident and fled towards Elliott Close, presumably through gardens.

Police said additional patrols were deployed in the area and investigations were ongoing.
