An investigation is underway into the death of a two-year-old in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said officials are investigating the death of a 2-year-old on Monday.

Officials said the situation began sometime on July 15 when family members took the child to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment. According to officials, they arrived at the hospital after the child died at 7:51 p.m.

Officials believed the child lived at Leben Place near the Ballantyne apartment complex in Greenville County.

Officials said they are investigating the child’s death as suspicious, but are still working to determine the cause of death.

Officials confirmed an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning. Stay tuned as we work to learn more.
