Man shot and killed in Prince George’s County, identified

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News now) – The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said it has identified a man who was shot in Temple Hills on Sunday evening.

Police said they responded to the 2600 block of Southern Avenue around 11:20 p.m. on May 5 for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot in a stairwell. He died there.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Louis Smith Jr. of Greenbelt.
