Horror after woman was allegedly dragged into a car and sexually assaulted by a gang in a horrific kidnapping

A man who was already in custody has now been charged with a number of crimes related to the alleged kidnapping, drugging and sexual assault of a woman in April.

The 37-year-old man was charged on Monday at Silverwater Correctional Centre.

A 29-year-old man from Victoria was extradited to New South Wales last month to face charges over the same incident.

The 36-year-old woman was allegedly forced into a Toyota Camry in Epping, northwest Sydney, at 6.45pm on April 20.

The next day, at 1 p.m., officers found the woman at another address, where she told them she had been drugged and sexually assaulted.

She was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 37-year-old suspect is charged with the following: arrest/detention in a company with the intent to extort a ransom, grievous bodily harm, bodily harm to a person and intent to commit a criminal act by a criminal organization.

In June, a man was extradited from Victoria to face charges over the incident.

The other charges were: serious sexual assault in company and deprivation of liberty, use of intoxicating substances to commit a criminal act, intentionally recording intimate images without their consent and threatening to distribute intimate images without their consent.

The man was listed appear in Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
