Mason Radcliffe from “Coronation Street” attacked in return

Coronation Street Spoilers follow.

Mason Radcliffe is attacked as he returns to Weatherfield in Coronation Street.

Maria Connor recently received the shocking news that teenage bully Mason was released from a youth center after serving a prison sentence for threatening her son Liam with a knife.

In the following scenes, Mason’s former friend Dylan Wilson is eager to see him again, as he helped bring the bully to justice earlier this year.

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Stu Carpenter is horrified to find a beaten and bloodied Mason near the police station. Mason admits he was attacked…

Dylan continues to worry throughout the week about what Mason’s release will mean for him, until he is finally forced to face an angry Mason in one-on-one combat.

These scenes will air in Coronation Street on Monday 22nd July and Wednesday 24th July.

At the weekend, Mason actor Luca Toolan confirmed Digital Spy that Mason’s life will have undergone great changes during his imprisonment.

“Corrie wasn’t unrealistic – they didn’t turn him into an angel overnight. Rather, they highlight and reenact the story of why Mason is the way he is,” he said.

“We see Mason trying to fight against that – and against his instincts. It was really interesting to play that and it also challenged me as an actor.”

“You’re playing a three-dimensional character, not just a tyrant. Hopefully it will be interesting.”

Coronation Street is broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streamed on ITVX.
