Fatal hit-and-run accident in Houston under investigation | Texas

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred around 12:40 a.m. today at 12600 Westheimer Road.

The deceased man’s identity is pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to the Houston Police Department (HPD) Vehicular Crimes Unit, Sergeant J. Richards and Officer J. Best reported that the man was walking in an unknown direction at the intersection of Westheimer and South Dairy Ashford Road when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model. The vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
