“It was a brutal experience”

In early 2021, Armie Hammer was accused of sexual abuse and his Hollywood career came to an abrupt halt.

More than two years after his “removal”, an investigation is underway into the Call me by your name The actor did not file charges against him through the Los Angeles District Attorney due to “lack of evidence.”

Hammer is thinking about the allegations and made an appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random where he revealed that he was “broke” but “happier than ever”.

“The only way to get to a good place is to go through hell,” he said. “It was a brutal experience.”

He continued, “Someone might look at me and say, ‘Yeah, but financially you’re in a completely different position than you’ve ever been in your life.’ And I look at that and say, ‘Yeah, and you know what? I learned from that that I don’t need that because I’ve never been happier in my life.'”

Hammer also noted that he is now sober after checking into rehab to combat his drug, alcohol and sex addictions.

“Therapy changed my life,” he said. “I needed an adjustment. There was some shit going on. I think that’s what would have happened if all of this hadn’t happened and if there hadn’t been the cataclysmic tectonic shift in my life. My life would have continued exactly as it had, and I know that ultimately that would only lead to one place, and that is death.”

He added: “I’ve experienced the death of my ego, my career, my finances – all those things, right? And (William Paul) Young talks about it. Joseph Campbell talks about it. You have to die, and when you die, you can be reborn. A phoenix will not rise if there are no ashes.”

The social network The actor said that when he was drinking, he “did a lot of drugs. I partied hard. I was very loose and casual with what I wrote in text messages and I also engaged in risky behavior, which, when you really think about it, was stupid!”
