Heinous offender who posted a video of himself raping a toddler on the dark web has been jailed

A child rapist who filmed himself sexually abusing a toddler before uploading the video to the dark web has been sentenced to life in prison.

Jordan Parnham, 23, admitted raping the young girl and sending footage of the vile act to “like-minded people” online.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) began pursuing the pervert on January 30 after he told his online contacts that he would be live-streaming himself abusing a child.

Police investigators determined his true identity using a pseudonym and searched his home in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, on February 22.

Sheffield Crown Court heard how Parnham told arresting officers “there’s disgusting stuff here” as he handed over his mobile phone during the raid.

Among the files found on the pedophile’s phone was a video he recorded of himself raping a female toddler.

At Wednesday’s sentencing, Parnham was sentenced to life in prison for two counts of raping separated children.

Parnham sobbed and held his head in his hands as Judge Peter Kelson QC read out his sentence, which Parnham must serve at least eight years.

Prosecutor Simon Reevell said the Crown had been unable to obtain evidence that Parnham broadcast the attack live.

However, he acknowledged that he shared the video with a group of people he met on the dark web.

He also admitted raping a young boy about 12 months earlier and having child pornography on his cell phone.

Judge Kelson said: “Your crime is almost unimaginable, it’s unthinkable… it’s so excessive to have done that… to have filmed that.”

“They uploaded the recording of this shocking rape to the internet and shared it with like-minded people.”

“I for one cannot imagine a time when you could be considered anything less than a significant danger to children.”

The judge added that he “couldn’t imagine a more serious case.”

Matthew Harding, mitigating, said Parnham accepted the “enormity” of what he had done.

Parnham was placed on the sex offenders register and made the subject of a sexual violence prevention order.
