Woman arrested for child trafficking in La Crosse faces trial | Crime

LA CROSSE (WKBT) – A woman accused of human trafficking minors in La Crosse will face trial.

Courtney Clickner, 26, of Winona, appeared in La Crosse District Court on Monday.

Clickner was arrested in June after investigators discovered she had set up an account with an online escort service for a 16-year-old girl. Earlier, La Crosse police arrested 30-year-old Dwayne Davis for allegedly assaulting and trafficking the girl.

In court, Clickner pleaded not guilty to the single charge of child sex trafficking she faces. The judge found there was sufficient prosecution to proceed with the trial.

Clickner is scheduled to appear in court again on August 9 for a preliminary hearing.

Davis, who is accused of several serious crimes including child trafficking, sexual exploitation of children and child enticement, is scheduled to appear in court on August 8. He is currently in the La Crosse County Jail on $50,000 bail.
