Milton woman dead, 2 injured after Monday crash in Santa Rosa County: FHP

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – One woman is dead and two others injured after a pickup truck went off the road Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP troopers said the accident occurred on July 15 at approximately 12:54 p.m. when a Honda Odyssey van traveling south on State Road 87, just north of State Road 89, veered off the right side of the roadway.

“The van was thrown through the air, collided with the ground and overturned,” said an FHP press release.

The impact ejected the passenger, a 67-year-old woman from Milton, from the vehicle, the release said. She was flown to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver, a 65-year-old woman from Milton, and the rear seat passenger, a 44-year-old from Columbia Heights, Minnesota, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
