5 Suspects Arrested After Deadly Shooting in Blytheville April 21 | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Blytheville police said Thursday they have arrested five people, including a minor, in an April 21 shooting that left one person dead and one injured.

Rodney Hamilton Jones, 19; Tyleik Moore, 21; Dion Grant, 21; and Keion Hamilton, 19, all of Hayti, Missouri, were arrested, the Blytheville Police Department news release said. It is said that a minor was also taken into custody.

Around 1:20 a.m. on April 21, officers responding to the shooting in the 100 block of South Division Street found 18-year-old Kohnali Hunt of Caruthersville, Missouri, who later died at a Memphis hospital, according to a news release emerges from the police.

A second injured person was treated at Hayti Memorial Hospital. Due to the person’s age, the victim’s identity has not been released by the Blytheville Police Department, a news release said.

Thursday’s news release did not specify what charges the suspects face or when the arrests were made. It says the arrests came after an investigation involving multiple Missouri law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshals Service. Further arrests are possible, the statement says.
