Appeal for witnesses to sexual harassment of a woman by a cyclist in Slough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted by a man on a bicycle in Slough.

The victim, in his twenties, was attacked at around 8.15pm on Tuesday 9 July at the pedestrian crossing on Wexham Road, just before the junction with Diamond Road.

As the woman was walking down the street, a cyclist approached her, touched her inappropriately and then rode away.

The victim also suffered some scratches on his neck.

The perpetrator is described as Asian, around 25 years old, with a short beard. He was wearing a cap with a chevron and a brown jacket.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Georgia Hall said: “No woman should feel unsafe or threatened on her way home and I would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or seen the man on his bike in the Wexham Road area at around 8.15pm.”

“The lady specifically told us that at the moment she was touched inappropriately, a car drove by and the driver honked. If that was you, may I ask you to contact us as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information should call 101 or submit information on our website quoting reference number 43240329019.

“If you have any dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist us, you can also submit it to this investigation via our dedicated online portal.”
