Argument leads to shots fired at house in Merriam

Police are investigating after an argument between two groups escalated into a shooting outside a Merriam apartment building overnight. Merriam police say no one was injured in the incident. According to police, the shooting occurred around 1:25 a.m. Monday near the 9200 block of West 49th Street. During the investigation, investigators determined the argument between the two groups had originally started earlier in the day. One group returned in the middle of the night and the argument continued. When the returning group was asked to leave, one or more individuals fired several shots into the apartment building. The suspected shooters then fled the area. Police are still investigating the shooting and do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. Merriam police are not asking for tips related to the investigation at this time.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 1:25 a.m. Monday near the 9200 block of West 49th Street.
