One child dies and four are injured in ATV accident in Lake County

A rollover accident involving an ATV left a Michigan teenager dead and four children injured. Last Thursday night, the 18-year-old man was riding the ATV with four children in tow on private property on Schwartz Lane in Lower Lake. The vehicle then rolled onto its left side, ejecting the ATV’s right passenger and hitting a cattle fence. The 18-year-old driver died at the scene. Two passengers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, while the other two were flown by helicopter to a Sacramento hospital with serious injuries. According to the CHP, no one was wearing helmets or seat belts.
