Police are searching for two men after a 16-year-old was attacked in front of the TRNSMT Ferris wheel in Glasgow

A teenager was seriously injured in an attack at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow.

The 16-year-old was standing in front of the Ferris wheel at the “Glasgow Green” event on Saturday at around 3.10 p.m. when he was attacked.

The teenager was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

As part of their investigation, the police are now trying to identify two men.

The first man is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, of slim build, approximately 19-20 years old, with a dark buzz cut hairstyle and a tattoo on half the sleeve of his right arm.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black fishing hat with the St. Andrew’s Cross flag of Scotland wrapped around it.

The second man is described as being about 1.85 m tall, slim, about 19-20 years old and with dark hair. He was wearing a light-colored top.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Greenshields, of Shettleston CID, said: “The victim sustained serious injuries in this incident and we are conducting extensive enquiries to identify the men responsible.

“Many people will have witnessed this incident and we would urge anyone with information that could assist our investigation to come forward.
