Man arrested after shooting in Dania Beach near football rally – NBC 6 South Florida

An arrest has been made following a shooting in Dania Beach that left a man injured near a football rally on Saturday night.

Police have identified the shooter as Luis Francisco Morales Crespo.

The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night, BSO officials said, notably near a location where thousands of soccer fans had gathered.

The injured man’s wife told NBC6 they were attending a rally in support of Colombia at the time, but police said the shooting had nothing to do with that rally.

The victim’s wife also said she hopes justice will be served and the shooter will pay for his crime. Her husband is expected to be fine.
