Woman sexually harassed in autorickshaw on way home from police station – Telangana Today

The woman told police that with the help of an auto-rickshaw driver, she managed to escape the men and reach a residential area, from where she was able to inform the police control room about the incident.

Hyderabad: A housewife was sexually harassed by two men in Alwal. The victim, who lives in Yapral, visited the Alwal police station on Friday evening and returned home in an autorickshaw.

“The driver of the autorickshaw stopped the vehicle near a liquor shop. According to reports, two men forcibly entered the autorickshaw and took the woman to a secluded place. The victim told us that a car was parked at the deserted place and the two men dragged her into the car where she was sexually assaulted by the two men,” said an officer of Alwal police station.

The woman told police that with the help of an auto-rickshaw driver, she managed to escape the men and reach a residential area, from where she was able to inform the police control room about the incident.

Bolaram police initially registered the case and later transferred it to Alwal police station for jurisdictional reasons. The police are investigating the case and trying to identify the suspects.
