Woman dies after falling from golf cart in Monroe County

A West Virginia woman died Friday after being injured in a fall from a golf cart in Monroe County about a week earlier.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said in a news release Monday that Brenna Abbinanti, 35, of Mount Clare, West Virginia, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg around 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Abbinanti was a passenger in a golf cart when she fell out around 1 a.m. on July 6 in the 6000 block of Timothy Lake Road, Middle Smith Township, Monroe County, the news release said.

The cause of death was accidental blunt trauma to the head.

The state police are investigating the incident.
