Man shot in eye while driving on Parkway West; Pittsburgh police investigate

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh police are investigating after receiving reports of gunfire being fired at a vehicle as it passed by.

At around 6:50 p.m., Pittsburgh police were dispatched near Exit 69A on I-376W. Officers found a 60-year-old male victim in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the eye, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition and was last on the surgery list.

The suspect vehicle is a white Mazda SUV that fled the scene and continued west toward either Banksville Road or I-376W.

The investigation is ongoing.
