Braxton Culler Moves to New Exhibition Space in Atlanta

SOPHIA, NC — Braxton Culler, a custom supplier of upholstered, wood, wicker and rattan furniture, has moved to a new showroom for the Altanta market, located at B1, 12th floor, space A-1.

Acquired by Classic Home four years ago, Braxton Culler first rented temporary space at the Atlanta market this winter, previously exhibiting only at High Point.

“We found that there simply weren’t any furniture companies in Atlanta that offered customization capabilities similar to ours, and there was clearly a need among attendees for a national company that could effectively serve interior designers in the South and, for that matter, across the country,” said Matt Sorensen, senior vice president of sales for Classic Home and Braxton Culler. “While exhibiting in Atlanta, we saw a lot of gift shops and boutiques – lifestyle retailers – that offered high-end upholstery, but their buyers don’t regularly frequent the High Point or Las Vegas markets. These retailers are vibrant and continue to thrive because they offer consumers a different perspective, and we were very successful in attracting them as customers.”

He noted that Braxton Culler is an ideal resource for small fashion boutiques because it does not require minimum purchases. In addition, the company offers a guaranteed freight rate, anywhere in the country, whether the retailer buys two or 20 pieces.

For each of the regional markets — Atlanta, Dallas and Las Vegas (where the company will be exhibited in the Classic Home showroom) — the design team covers and finishes products in a way that speaks to the region.

“Our creative team tailors our products to the preferences of shoppers in each market,” said Donnie Lesley, senior vice president of operations. “For that reason, expect Atlanta’s offerings to be very colorful, while Las Vegas, in a few weeks, will have a more laid-back California feel. … The real beauty of our line is that Braxton Culler can be anything the designer or retailer envisions and the customer wants it to be.”
