Woman killed in Raytown on Sunday evening, police search for suspect

RAYTOWN, Missouri – A woman is dead following a shooting in Raytown Sunday evening, according to Raytown police.

Raytown police were dispatched to Greenwood Road near Blue Ridge Boulevard for a report of a woman being shot at around 6:20 p.m. Sunday evening.

When officers arrived, they found a woman with apparent gunshot wounds. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the TIPS line at (816) 474-TIPS.
