AAA Western and Central New York (AAA WCNY) reports the following averages:

  • Batavia – $3.55 (down 2 cents from last Monday)
  • Buffalo – $3.61 (down 1 cent from last Monday)
  • Elmira – $3.50 (no change since last Monday)

  • Rome – $3.66 (up 1 cent from last Monday)

  • Watertown – $3.66 (up 1 cent from last Monday)

At the local level, AAA says that while the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is up slightly from last week, there is little to no movement in the local average price.

“Oil prices remain stable, trading around $80 to $85 per barrel this morning. The latest data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) indicates a slight decline in overall gas demand, while national gas inventories have declined slightly. Hurricane Beryl had a limited impact on Gulf gasoline refining, helping to keep prices stable,” AAA reported.

AAA also reported that “diesel prices are relatively stable. The national average diesel price is $3.86, up two cents from last Monday. The New York average is $4.24, unchanged from last Monday.”
