Man killed in shooting, another man stabbed in Olney – NBC10 Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are investigating after one man was killed and another was hospitalized in an attack in the city’s Olney neighborhood early Monday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. Monday near the intersection of 5th and Ruscomb Streets in Olney.

When officers responded to a reported shooting at the location, they found a man who had been shot multiple times and, police say, another man who had been stabbed.

Both men, officials said, were taken to a nearby hospital, where the stabbed man was stabilized and the other person was pronounced dead at around 1:08 a.m.

As of approximately 7:00 a.m. Monday, police officials have not provided any further information regarding this incident or any additional identifying information about the individuals involved, but the investigation is ongoing.
