Bodywork damage in Fairfield Hills

According to the Newtown Police report, Lawrence Goldman, 80, of Sandy Hook, driving a 2010 Nissan Murano, attempted to drive into a parking lot on the Fairfield Hills campus at 4:42 p.m. on July 2. A 2021 Ford Mustang owned by Jill Visinski of Sandy Hook was parked in an adjacent parking lot. Goldman’s vehicle struck the left side of Visinski’s vehicle.

No injuries were reported. None of the vehicles were towed.

No action was taken as the incident occurred on private property.

Audi meets Subaru

According to the Newtown Police report, Laura Miller, 56, of Sandy Hook, driving a 2017 Audi A6, turned left onto Paugussett Road from Berkshire Road at 1:50 p.m. on July 2. Gary Treadwell, 44, of Sandy Hook, driving a 2020 Subaru Impreza, was stopped at a stop sign on Paugussett Road. Miller’s vehicle struck Treadwell’s vehicle, causing minor injuries to both individuals.

No injuries were reported. None of the vehicles were towed.

Miller was issued with a misdemeanor for making a wrong turn and failing to renew a registration.
