Seneca Falls man arrested after consecutive thefts at Walmart

Seneca Falls police have arrested a local man following an investigation into a theft at Walmart.

Seneca Falls Police report the arrest of 46-year-old John Walters after he was caught at Walmart removing merchandise without paying and then returning it to the customer service counter for credit.

Walters was charged with petty theft, a misdemeanor, and first-degree falsification of business records, a Class E felony. He was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

In a separate incident on July 13 at 2:41 a.m., Walters was again arrested at Walmart for taking items without paying. He is again charged with petty theft and is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court.
