Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison arrested for drunk driving

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested for drunken driving after he was found asleep at the wheel in El Segundo, Calif. The Los Angeles Daily News first reported the news.

A call reported a stalled vehicle blocking lanes from the westbound Glen Anderson Freeway to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard late Friday night. The California Highway Patrol responded to the call and saw a white Rolls-Royce blocking a lane. They conducted a DUI investigation and arrested Addison shortly thereafter.

The Minnesota Vikings released a brief statement saying they were aware of the incident and were gathering additional information.

According to the report, the Vikings wide receiver was warned at 11:36 p.m. and released at 1:36 a.m. on Saturday.

Last summer, Addison was cited for speeding 140 mph in Minnesota. The reason for his speeding was a medical emergency involving his pet. He agreed to plead guilty to speeding and pay $686 in fines and fees, with no further disciplinary action from the team or NFL.
