Houston man charged with burglary after Hurricane Beryl | Texas

Houston, Texas – A 25-year-old man has been charged with burglary after breaking into a business as the city recovers from Hurricane Beryl.

Calvin Jacobe Theus, of Houston, was arrested near the crime scene at 7555 Long Point Rd. around 5 a.m. on July 13, according to the Houston Police Department. Officers apprehended Theus after a foot chase and recovered all of the stolen items, including a cash register.

The Houston Police Department said its northwest officers were instrumental in locating and capturing Theus.
