One dead and one injured in shooting in Oakland on Saturday

OAKLAND – One person was killed and another injured in a shooting on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland on Saturday, police said.

Officers arrived at the 4000 block of Telegraph Avenue at 5 p.m. and found a gunshot victim, police said. Paramedics took the person to the hospital for treatment, but he was pronounced dead, police said.

Shortly thereafter, officers received a report of another gunshot victim arriving at a hospital. Further investigation revealed that the second victim was also injured in the shooting in the 4000 block of Telegraph, according to police.

The condition of the second victim is stable, police said.
