Atlanta campaign events postponed following assassination attempt on former President Trump – WSB-TV Channel 2

NORCROSS — Biden-Harris campaign leaders have postponed events in metro Atlanta in response to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, Dough Emhoff, was scheduled to hold a roundtable on health care costs in Norcross on Monday. He was then scheduled to speak at a campaign event.

Georgia campaign leaders said the event would be rescheduled, as would one scheduled for Sunday in Forsyth County.

The Forsyth County Democratic Party was set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Biden-Harris campaign office building.

Leaders have not set new dates for the events.

They said, however, that campaign events in Georgia would resume on Tuesday.

Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sen. Josh McKoon said Trump campaign events will resume here after the Republican National Convention.
