Delmar, DE – One dead, three injured in a two-car crash on Providence Church Road.

Delmar, DE (July 14, 2024) – Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a fatal car crash in Delamar on Friday, July 12. The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Providence Church Road at the intersection with Delmar Road.

According to a report, a 2017 Nissan Rogue was traveling west on Delmar approaching Providence Church Road. At the same time, a 1996 Subaru Outback was traveling south on Providence Church Road approaching Delmar Road. The Outback came to a stop sign but failed to stop and entered the intersection, where it collided with the Rogue. The driver of the Subaru, a 48-year-old man from Salisbury, Maryland, died at the scene. The 40-year-old female driver of the Nissan and three juvenile passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified. No further information has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
