One man dead, another injured in stabbing in NYC

One man was killed and another injured in a stabbing in the Bronx on Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to reports that two people had been stabbed on the Grand Concourse near East 181st Street in Fordham shortly after 3:30 p.m., police said.

When police arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest and a 31-year-old man with a stab wound to the upper body.

Paramedics took both men to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where the older man died. His name has not been released while police try to notify his family. The younger stabbing victim is expected to survive.

The cause of the bloodshed was not immediately clear.
