TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 closed after accident in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 remains closed following an accident on Sunday around 5:30 p.m.

After an accident near Mile 3, the westbound lanes are closed between Exit 4 and Exit 1. Traffic is backed up almost to Exit 8.

CPD is attempting to divert traffic off I-24 at Exit 4 and is asking the public to avoid the area until further notice and seek alternate routes.
