Employee found shot outside nightclub in Connecticut

Police are investigating after an employee was found shot to death outside the front door of a popular Connecticut nightclub, officials said.

According to police, Norwich officers responded to a 911 call at the Latin Quarters Restaurant and Lounge, 80 Broadway, after a shooting was reported at 12:02 a.m. Sunday morning. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The man was later identified as an employee of the bar; he was located outside the front door of the building.

The man was taken by ambulance to Backus Hospital and later to Hartford Hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
