Santa Fe Police: Firefighters find dead woman during house fire

SANTA FE, NM — Firefighters responding to a 911 call about a fire at a Santa Fe home found one person dead, police said.

Santa Fe police officers responded to a house fire in the 3000 block of Calle Tangara around 4:20 p.m. Saturday. They spoke with firefighters who reported they found a person inside the home who was pronounced dead.

Police did not release any details about who that person was because family has not yet been notified. Officials called the state fire marshal to investigate the incident, which is currently under investigation.
