1-MONTH ALERT: World of Outlaws Late Models to debut at three Midwest racetracks in mid-August

The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models will make their final stop in the Midwest in 2024 with four races in four days at three tracks – all new to the series.

This week, the premier Dirt Track Late Model series takes place in Illinois and Iowa, with races at Highland Speedway (Wednesday, August 14) in Highland, Illinois, Spoon River Speedway (Thursday, August 15) in Lewistown, Illinois and Maquoketa Speedway (Friday-Saturday, August 16-17) in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Not only will these stops be World of Outlaws’ first time at these tracks, but it will also be the first time a national Dirt Late Model series will be held there.

Highland Speedway and Spoon River Speedway have been regular stops on the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Model Tour, including this season. Jason Feger won at Highland and Ryan Unzicker won at Spoon River.

Of the series’ current full-time drivers, four-time series champion Brandon Sheppard, reigning series champion Bobby Pierce and 2022 series champion Dennis Erb have won a Summer Nationals race at Highland and Spoon River. Brian Shirley has also won at Spoon River and Nick Hoffman has won at Spoon River in a DIRTcar UMP Modified.

Pierce is currently the only driver in the series with a win at Maquoketa Speedway, having won a preliminary race for the Nippy 50 Late Model race there earlier this year.

The race week also marks the start of the last stage with ten races leading up to the championship-deciding finale of the World of Outlaws from November 6th to 9th.
