FBI releases name of suspected gunman in shooting at Trump rally | Live

A Butler County resident whose home is closest to the scene of the Trump rally shooting said she was surprised the Secret Service did not search her home before the event.

“I thought this was something they would do since I live so close,” Carol Kerr, 82, told ABC News by phone early Sunday morning.

Kerr’s home on Meridian Road is about a quarter mile from the stage where the former president spoke on Saturday and from where the gunman is believed to have fired.

“I thought they would search the houses that are as close to me as mine,” Kerr said. “At least check to see if you have anything dangerous in your house, which I don’t.”
