Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national airline, said it was following the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) order to suspend flights to and from Dubai International Airport for 48 hours.

The CAA has requested all Bahraini citizens and residents currently in areas affected by coronavirus (Covid-19) and planning to return to Bahrain to call +973 17227555. The Gulf Air Contact Center will contact all affected passengers.

In a statement, the airline said passengers should check the airline’s website before travelling or call the Gulf Air Contact Center on +973 17373737 for further information before heading to the airport.

Gulf Air apologized to affected passengers for any inconvenience the situation may have caused.

The company stressed that it is working closely with the relevant authorities in Bahrain and is taking all precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, passengers and crew members with the highest priority.
