Second sexual assault reported at Country Thunder: RCMP Lumsden

According to RCMP, a second sexual assault has been reported in Country Thunder.

On Friday night, around 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a sexual assault at the Country Thunder venue.

According to an investigation by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, an adult woman was approached by an unknown man as she was leaving a portable toilet.

The man made physical advances toward the woman, made verbal comments and tried to force her into one of the portable toilets, the RCMP said.

The RCMP describes the man as 6 feet tall and wearing a red checked shirt, denim shorts, a tan cowboy hat and two diamond earrings.

The investigation is ongoing, but this incident is not suspected to be connected to the other sexual assault that occurred at Country Thunder around 3 a.m. Friday.
