Missing man found dead in Lake Eufaula

HENRY COUNTY, Alabama (WTVY) – The body of a 54-year-old man was found in Lake Eufaula after a search continued for a second day.

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship identified the man as David James Finney of Abbeville. Finney was found near the Holiday Shores of Lake Eufaula around 5:15 a.m. Saturday.

Finney went missing near Thomas Mill Creek on Friday. His raft was found on Lake Eufaula around noon on Friday.

Blankenship said Finney is paralyzed from the waist down and suffers from mental health issues. He asked for prayers for the family and thanked everyone who helped in the search.
