Investigation continues after fatal crash on Rt. 222 in Berks | Berks Regional News

MAIDENCREEK TWP., Pennsylvania – Berks County authorities are investigating a fatal crash on Route 222.

It happened early Saturday near the municipal boundaries of Ontelaunee and Maidencreek.

Initial reports said the driver was trapped in the car and unresponsive. Officials later confirmed that the driver had died.

Route 222 northbound at Dries Road was closed while work was carried out to clear the accident scene.
