Vacaville Fire Department technician dies in accident

(FOX40.COM) — The Vacaville Fire Department recently announced the loss of a building code compliance technician who passed away.

“It is with deep sadness that the City of Vacaville Fire Department announces the tragic passing of one of our dedicated team members, Code Enforcement Technician Bryden Nadasdy, due to an off-duty accident,” the Vacaville Fire Department said on social media.

The accident occurred late Friday on the Vaca Valley Parkway west of Browns Valley Road, fire officials said. Details of the accident are currently being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.


“Bryden Nadasdy was a dedicated member of our community and had been with the fire department as a Code Enforcement Technician since March 21, 2022,” Vacaville Fire said. “He served with the utmost dedication and commitment, and his loss is deeply mourned by the fire department, city and community. He leaves behind his mother and brother.”

Nadasdy’s death occurred two days after a Vacaville Police motorcycle officer was struck and killed by a car during a traffic stop.
