Two men injured in shooting in St. Petersburg; investigations ongoing

St. Petersburg, FL – Officers with the St. Petersburg Police Department received a report of two people with gunshot wounds. Initial information indicates the two were traveling in a black Impala on their way to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg.

An officer located the vehicle at the entrance to the emergency room, where two injured men were found. An investigation was launched to determine the location of the shooting. After checking several locations, the incident appears to have occurred near the Food Max on the corner of 14th Street South and 18th Avenue.

The area where the shooting occurred is now cordoned off with crime scene tape. A crime scene has also been cordoned off around the vehicle parked in front of the emergency room.

The condition of the two injured people is currently unknown.
