3-year-old missing child found dead, police said – NBC Bay Area

A teenage girl last seen in Fremont on Thursday was found dead at a recycling facility in San Jose, police said.

Three-year-old Ellie Lorenzo was last seen around 6 p.m. Thursday at the Casa Arroyo Apartments on Rancho Arroyo Parkway in Fremont, police said.

The girl is with her father under a custody agreement, Fremont police said.

Her biological mother, Chrystal Obi, reported the child missing around 12:25 p.m. Friday after learning that her father had been found dead in a nearby town, police said.

Obi told police that the father was supposed to bring Ellie back to her on Friday evening.

The cause of the father’s death has not yet been confirmed by the police.
