16-year-old shot dead in Auburn – KIRO 7 News Seattle

AUBURN, Washington – Three young boys were involved in a shooting in Auburn late Friday night that left one person dead.

Auburn Police officers initially responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of A Street Southeast around 10:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers and emergency responders performed life-saving measures, but the boy was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials, two other male juveniles were found shortly thereafter with gunshot wounds and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Both have since been released.

There are no suspects at this time and officers do not believe there is a threat to the community. Anyone with information should call the Auburn Police tip line at 253-288-7403.
